Our test fields, the grass of champions

On our test fields, we monitor different types of grass from the top-quality species list. These include, among others, Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis), English ryegrass (Lolium perenne), English ryegrass with RPR and, for recreational grass mats, multiple species of red fescue (Festuca rubra).
From seedling to commercial success, the grass mats are assessed on their many genetic properties and qualities. We mainly focus on:

•    Leaf colour
•    Mat density
•    Resilience
•    Regenerative ability
•    Tolerance for playing activities
•    Drought tolerance
•    Disease resistance
•    Mowing pattern
•    Growth inertia
•    Root formation

After proving the quality on the test fields, they are sown on the fields at Hendriks Graszoden.
